Cobar Kicks Off The 2009 Netball Challenge!Tuesday, 21st April 2009 
The first of 7 carnivals for this years Netball Cancer Challenge was held on March 15th in Cobar.
Overall it was a very successful day with a total of 18 registered teams and heaps of kids in the captain and tunnel ball competitions. Everyone dressed up and got behind the cause, which was great to see.
Winning teams:
Pool A - Ghost Busters (Shae Martin, Shane Martin, Belinda Pitkin, Brett Pitkin, Racquel Potter, Karen Bishop, Reina Cross, Matilda Power).
Pool B - Draw between The Slackers (Josie Anderson, Jaimee Cohen, Jada Parisi, Katherine Betts, Hayley Black, Nicola Harbison, Demi Robinson, Nikolah Best) and The Bob Marleys (Ashleigh Watson, Ellie Potter, Brianna Watson, Jacinta Russel, David Watson, Charlie Douglas, Wade Potter).
Pool C - LABO (Rohan Lloyd, Peter Lloyd, Melanie Lloyd, Tom Keech, Hope Semmler, Mitch Sheilds, Sam Kershaw, Dylan Prince, Ben Turton) .
Sportsmanship Award - Test Eagles (Ben Smith, Shane Place, Tony Place, Robert Newey, Sam Retallick, Kritan Retallick).
Encouragement Award - Dragons (Carley Obray, Jasmin Bolt-Mitchell, Carissa Bolt-Mitchell, Rowan Martin, Bonnie Martin, Robert Patten, Taylor Toomey, Stevi Toomey).

Approx $1500 was made for Cure Our Kids and we are so grateful.
